McKenzie Bray Homes brings together Sean and Josh, two local builders with the same belief about how building should be done.

Based in Cambridge and working across the wider Waikato, we have created a building company for people who care about quality, but still want a team that feels easy to talk to and good to have around.

Built from the same values

McKenzie Bray Homes (or just MB homes works too), was created when Sean and Josh brought their building businesses together under one name.

The goal was not to become the biggest building company in the Waikato.

It was to build a company with a strong reputation for good work, honest advice and a straightforward building experience. Both Sean and Josh care about the trade, the details and the people they are building for.

That matters to us. Because when someone trusts you with their home, you should treat that seriously.

Starting and growing a building business in the current market has not been the easy option, but Sean and Josh have backed themselves, their values and the standard of work they believe in.

Away from the tools, they are both easy-going, family-minded people with a real drive to build something they are proud of. Sean has also recently welcomed his first baby, adding even more meaning to the future they are creating.

Meet Sean …

Sean brings strong residential building experience and a clear focus on doing the job properly.

Before McKenzie Bray Homes, Sean operated Kaniwi Builders, working with homeowners across Cambridge and the Waikato on residential building projects. Prior to this he also worked in Adelaide on Heritage builds and high-performance housing.

Sean is practical, detail-focused and committed to quality workmanship, clear communication and making sure clients feel looked after throughout the build.

… and Josh

Josh brings his own building experience, trade knowledge and hands-on approach to McKenzie Bray Homes. He is passionate about residential building, working closely with clients and helping deliver homes that are finished well and built to last.

Before Mckenzie Bray Homes. Josh was operating Brays Building. Josh’s experience working in a high end housing company has shaped him as a builder, making him competent in systems and efficiencies

Josh shares the same view as Sean: be honest, work hard, communicate well and take pride in the result.
